Graham Lane's Advice Re: Police HQ Audit

Author: Colin Craig 2014/01/20

Big thanks to Graham Lane, a respected local chartered accountant, for speaking out today about the pending discussion at city hall about auditing the new police headquarters.

As we noted in this news release - click here - an audit of the police headquarters can easily be completed prior to this fall's civic election if it has the right parameters in place at the beginning...not to mention if council has the will power to do so.

When discussing the matter with Graham last week he sent me a short note with a few of his thoughts. I asked if I could post it online and he said 'sure,' but refined it a bit to come up with a more in-depth document - click here. If you're interested in the police HQ issue from an audit perspective, it should provide for interesting reading!
